21st September, 2023 – NexRev today announced that its energy management system has been deployed by a leading, nationwide cinema chain to optimize energy consumption, reduce operational costs, and lower the carbon footprint of its 505 movie theatres in 42 states.
NexRev’s Freedom Enterprise multi-site, cloud-based EMS / BMS solution, backed by AI processing, was chosen to replace the Honeywell Novar system previously used by the chain. Key to NexRev’s success is its ability to integrate existing downstream devices such as lighting, HVAC, refrigeration, water pumps, etc. into its energy management system thus eliminating the need to completely replace these devices.
The chain is just one of the 20% of Fortune 100 companies that is working with NexRev to make their buildings more energy efficient. Savings can be made across a building’s footprint; from the excess use of outside air, machines running continuously when not needed, machines running inefficiently without reliable data to call them out, to the basics of lights left on when not necessary and setpoints that are too cold or too hot.
This move to NexRev’s Freedom Enterprise will enable the cinema chain to achieve additional reductions in energy use through automation and remote management as well as providing unparalleled control over its energy consumption to optimize energy usage.
The NexRev Freedom Enterprise AI service provides advanced energy management capabilities including:
- Multi-Site, centralized monitoring in real-time in the cloud: facilities’ managers can now remotely monitor and control energy consumption by changing setpoints and schedules in individual buildings.
- Built-in data Analytics that provide the chain with insights into energy usage patterns, so they can identify potential areas for optimization, and make data-driven decisions to achieve higher efficiency.
- Smart Automation: NexRev’s advanced adaptive control algorithms can adjust HVAC and lighting settings based on real-time data, occupancy, and weather conditions, ensuring optimal comfort for visitors while significantly reducing energy waste.
- Seamless Integration: NexRev's expert technicians skillfully integrated its new energy management system into the existing infrastructure without causing disruptions to regular operations, showcasing NexRev's commitment to customer satisfaction and smooth implementation.
NexRev has also developed a new API that allows for downstream devices previously connected to Honeywell’s Novar panel to seamlessly interconnect to the NexRev Freedom Enterprise AI platform, a service-based platform where NexRev can provide end-to-end managed service capabilities.
